Promotional Pricing at Point of Sale

For Spruce promotional pricing to be triggered at Point of Sale, the following conditions must be met:

The Promotional Pricing Option must be Enabled (by ECI Support personnel).

Each station that Promotional Pricing will be used with needs to be enabled from the Device Maintenance form.

No other promotion option, such as ACE Rewards™, can be enabled at the same time.

Promotions are currently only supported with the Sales transaction found in the Point of Sale area.

When the conditions (above) are met, we load promotions matching the current period where the starting date of the promotion is less than or equal to (<=) the current date and the ending date of the promotions is greater than or equal to (>=) the current date.

As products are entered, we check to see if the items or total purchase amount (subtotal) meets the conditions for any of the promotions.

Item entry can have any of three (3) possible results relating to the application of promotions:

1. The item isn't found on any active promotion. Nothing special is done in this case.

2. The item is found on active promotions but isn't eligible due to a minimum purchase requirement. In this case, the item could be eligible for promotions, so the item's description is highlighted in magenta text color on a grey background.

3. The item is found on active promotions and is eligible. In this case, the item is eligible, so promotional pricing is applied. Once applied, all items affected by the promotion are indicated by a description with a green text color on a grey background.
